About Me
My name is Alex. I am a Software Engineer and currently employed writing Planning and Scheduling Software for Windows.

Since an early age I have been intrieged with technology, I started programming around the age of 9 and have always been improving and developing small projects ever since. In 2004 I graduated from a local college with a Higher National Diploma in Software Engineering.
I am a devoted Windows user, but I acknowledge Linux as an alternative or an operating system to facilitate certain jobs (such as a home server) rather than as a competitor. I want to get that fact straight, I favour Windows just for familiarity (and gaming ;)). As some of the technologies I use are cross platform, you will have apply some skill to make such solutions work on Linux based environments.
This website is just a sink for odd bits and bobs that I do, I can’t promise that I will always keep it up to date. It is more to benefit my friends and colleagues but I hope the public at large may also benefit from it.
You can be rest assured that I am always fiddling with small projects, quite a few never get finished or I loose intrest in them. (Of course it is different when you get paid to do it :P)
In fact such a project called XU Stats died as I lost interest, it wasn’t until I had closed it down for good did I really realise how popular it was. That was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made.
